Disaster Management
Disaster Management is a very wide term which deals with planning for prevention, control and response to natural or human made disasters like earthquake, flood, fire, riots, terrorist attack, etc. It not only prepare against all such disasters, but also help prevent such situations. It also includes recovery and reconstruction after occurrence of disasters.
Many natural calamities are unavoidable and unpredicatible. However, efforts can be made to ensure that loss of life and property is minimal. it requires proper communication mechanism, training, supplies, equipment, etc.
