Food Technology
Food Technology is related to processing, preservation, canning, packaging and storage of food products.
Food technologists are employed in the food industry, hotels, canteens, fast food chains, packaging industry, etc. They work on creation of new varieties of food items, keep a check on quality standards of processed and produced foods, test for food adulteration, suggest safe methods of processing and preserving of food products, etc.
Courses:Other than short term certificate and diploma courses at polytechnics or food craft institutes in different states, one can get Bachelor or Masters degree in food technology.
