Forestry
Forestry is about protecting and managing forests and related natural resources. It also includes research and development of new methods for forest management, plantation, reforestation.
Forests serve as basis for wildlife. Many animals and plants survive in forests only. Forests provides a lot of things like timber, recreation opportunities, landscapes, medicines and herbs, clean air.
Career opportunities exist with both Government and private organisations in various fields depending on specialisation. Foresters work with government agencies, Forestry research institutes, timber industry, consultancy firms, Wildlife Research organisations, Zoological Parks.
