Medical Transcription
Medical Transcription involves transcription of medical data and records including case history, clinic notes, reports, etc. dictated by doctors and other medical staff. This medical data is recorded into tapes or other voice storage media and is transcribed and keyed into computer.
Few years back medical transcription came suddenly into the limelight and got lots of attraction. But very soon that hype came to an end. However, still some companies, which understand the requirements properly, are doing well in this area.
Medical Transcription requires understanding of medical terminologies and a responsible attitude, good audio skills and excellent knowledge of English.
After proper training in medical transcription, one can join hospitals or medical transcription service providing companies in India and abroad. Some companies hire and train fresh candidates also.
