Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a system of medical science for prevention and treatment of movement dysfunction, physical disorder or other such problems related to functional movements of body. Physiotherapist prescribes specific exercises, massages or applies therapies like mechanical and electro-therapy for treatment. They work with  physically challenged people and sports persons also.  

Physiotherapists can work in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, fitness centres, research centres.

Physical therapy has many areas of specialisation including cardiopulmonary, neurologic, orthopaedic, and pediatrics.
