Company Secretary (CS)
Company Secretary is appointed by companies to take care of finance, legal and other matters of company. He acts as an important link between the Company, the Board of Directors, shareholders, Government and regulatory agencies.
Company Secretary is a professional course organized by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and ICWAI in three stages:
The Foundation Course - It is of 8 months that can be joined after 10+2 examination. Student need to pass examination within 3 years after joining. This examination is organised twice a year.
Intermediate Course – After Foundation Course, one can enroll to the Intermediate Course, which is of 9 months. Its examination is organised twice a year.
Final Course - The last stage is the Final examination after which students are required to undergo practical training.
Practical training - Practical training is required to complete the course.
Company Secretaries command high salaries as compared to other managerial staff. At Junior level a Company Secretary can get 8000 per month, at middle level 15000 to 25000 and at senior level 30000-35000
