Q - What’s the best course for an MBA Fin with 5 yrs exp.(banking & Insurance)(currently not working). I’d prefer to work in India or UAE?

- Nandita

You should try out for better jobs with your present MBA(Finance) degree and 5 yrs. Banking & insurance experience. If the gap is not long, then it should not be very difficult.

If you want to try your hand in a different line, then you should do some PG diploma or similar course in related field. If you want to move ahead in same line but not satisfied with your present qualification, then consider any of the followings based on your interest and previous experience:
- Executive MBA
- Post Graduate programmes in Insurance Management/ Banking /Banking & Insurance Management/ Banking, Investment & Insurance/ Banking and Finance/ Investment Management or other related advanced studies like capital markets, derivatives, mutual funds, etc.
- Master of Finance

Another good option is to get Professional Certifications from International Organisations, which have global acceptance worldwide:- Certified Financial Planner, Certified Risk Analyst, Certified International Investment Analyst, Certified Mortgage Consultant, Certified Derivatives Specialist, Certified Financial Modeler, etc. It is better to consider certification programmes accepted and valid in India and UAE.
