First evaluate yourself honestly.
Then, show your best atleast three sample write-ups to few unbiased writers or professional people who can give you their honest and intelligent feedback, advice and suggestions about career advancement. If interested, some films and media institutes provide short term courses in related fields to improve writing skills.
Unless you have exceptional talents or powers, you are supposed to do lots of struggle to make a decent entry in this profession. Because there is so much competition but very few opportunities for new entrants.

As a songwriter or a scriptwriter, you can produce content for radio and television, films,
and other types of performances. You can write jingles for advertisements.

A copy writer has good scope in advertising agencies. He produces advertising themes or slogans for use in publications or broadcasting for all type of clients.

Choose your own path. You can start from the lowest level. If you are a student, write something for your college/school functions. Write for other events & occasions. Get public reactions.
Contact your local radio stations.
Entry in TV or films depends on references upto a large extent. Make contacts. If you get a chance, meet professionals directly. Take their views.

Plan your career depending on your priorities. It is up to you whether you want to do a job in the field you are interested in or do freelance writing for radio, films or television. Your financial condition also matters. If your financial condition demands to find a way to start make earning, then we suggest you to first find a job matching your interest at some place where you can learn , improve and apply your writing talent.
