Q - is it necessary to take up science stream in 12th and be very good in drawing for career in animation or graphic design

- Lakshmi

Many institutions offer admissions to students from non-science stream also. However, some knowledge of physics and maths may be helpful in understanding few concepts like lighting, 3D art, perspective, rotation, camera techniques. But it is not necessary.

Both animation and graphic designing are best suitable for person who has great creativity and drawing skills. However, If you are not very good in drawing, it is not a big problem in Animation. But you should have a clear view and a creative and sharp mind. Study of basic drawing techniques will be part of your course curriculum.
In graphics design, you can still do well if you have average drawing skills but have a creative vision, strong visualisation power, and clear understanding of shapes, colours, and formations.
