Q - I have just completed my 10th and my school has given me PCB and Bio-Tech in my medical stream in 11th standard. Would i be able to get admission / apply for B.Tech in Bio-Tech after 12th standard.

There may be some difficulties. Firstly, Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) covers questions related to physics, chemistry and maths. But you can appear in other entrance tests conducted by various universities and colleges.
You would be able to apply to private colleges but in that case too, you will have to check the admission criteria specified by that particular institute.
Criteria for admission in B.Tech. Bio-technology may vary from institute to institute. Some take PCM/PCB students, some require physics and maths as compulsory subjects along with chemistry, Biology or bio-technology. In some institutes, entry qualification is physics, chemistry and biology.
In case things don t favour and you can t get college of your choice, you should consider B.Sc. Biotechnology(followed by M.Sc. and PhD) or other courses.
