Airline Ticketing
Air Ticket Executives work at airline ticket counter. They book and confirm flight tickets using various GDS systems, assign seats to passengers, make reservation changes on demand and handles all issues relating to ticketing, check luggage, and provide information about flight schedules, time tables, air fares, hotels, etc.

Numerous airline companies and  travel agencies advertise job openings for air ticketing executives or agents.
Many companies do not ask for any specific educational qualification for this job. However, candidates must be well versed with IATA regulations, various GDS systems and other terms and guidelines. He/She should have excellent communication skills, a pleasant personality and an ability to handle adverse situations.
Most of the aviation training institutes offer certificate/ diploma courses in air ticketing. IGNOU also offers a certificate course in air ticketing.

Hospitality Industry
It is a service based industry offering numerous career options to highly skilled and trained professionals in hotels, airlines, cruise lines, restaurants, resorts, health care & wellness centers, clubs, and other service sectors.
