All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is held every year at all India level for admission in  B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch./ B. Planning programmes in various institutions, namely National Institutes of Technology, Deemed Universities, Technical Institutions and other Govt. funded Institutions. A centralized counselling is organised or States/Institutes organise their own counselling for filling up the seats.

The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent. Those appearing in 10+2 final or equivalent examination may also appear in the exam.
Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission in B.E./B.Tech.: Physics & Mathematics and Chemistry/ Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology

Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission in B.ARCH./B. PLANNING:  Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail is 03(three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years starting from the year he/she appeared in 10+2. There is a maximum age limit restriction also.

Entrance examination consists of objective type questions with negative marking system. First paper consists of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weightage for BE/B.Tech course and second paper – consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test for B. Architecture and B. Planning.
After evaluation of answer sheets, separate rank lists are prepared for B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning. Score Card indicating All India Rank and State Rank with total marks and marks in each subject is sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE. Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks (being different for General, OBC, SC/ST/PH category candidates) are called for counselling. All India/State Rank and marks are normally released on AIEEE website.

Application can either be made  ‘Online’ or submitted on prescribed Application Form with some prescribed fee.
